Survivor: Philippines Cast Announced

CBS has revealed the identities of 15 of the 18 castaways on the upcoming installment of its long-running competition show Survivor: Philippines.

Competitors include former baseball star Jeff Kent, who played for the San Francisco Giants and the Los Angeles Dodgers, as well as The Facts of Life star Lisa Whelchel (aka Blair).

The remaining three contestants, former players who were evacuated on their respective seasons for medical reasons, will be announced later this week. There have been 10 medical evacuations during the series’ run, including Russell Swan of Survivor: Samoa, Mike Skupin of Survivor: Australian Outback and James Clement of Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites.

Names of the three tribes (Kalabaw, water buffalo; Tandang, rooster; and Matsing, monkey) will be after animals from the region.
